Most parents are nervous about their child’s first visit to the dentist but here we do our best to make it as comfortable and as positive as we can. All treatments are explained to children in kid friendly terms. Each visit is never rushed and treatment can be done on parents’ laps if necessary. All parents are welcome into treatment rooms during all visits.
A first visit usually consists of an exam , cleaning, fluoride treatment and x rays depending on the age of the child.
We cater to special needs children. Our office is handicap accessible including a handicap accessible bathroom.
Why choose a pediatric dentist?
Pediatric dentists have extra training in the field of children’s dentistry. They have been trained in dealing with the growth and development of children’s teeth as well as the skeletal formation of the bones in the head and neck of a growing child. A pediatric dentist can detect early signs of a cavity and fill it while it is small and easy for the child to tolerate the procedure. They can also detect early signs of the need for early orthodontic intervention which will make it easier on the child when they need braces.
The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that a child be seen as early as a year old. We welcome any parent to come to the office even earlier if they have a question or just need reassurance when their child’s teeth start erupting into the mouth.
